We had a fabulous weekend with Eddie Martinez who came to us from The Vocal Majority, 2018 Gold Medal Chorus Champions from the Barbershop Harmony Society. Thank you so much, Edgar... I mean, Eddie! (haha, we promise we know his name!)
We did a lot of bubbling and breath management coaching, as well as learning how to add buoyancy and lift to the sound. We now can “embrace the fatness of the breath” and “sing every word sound every time” to tell the song’s story. We even found out that maybe we have a Solo Bubbler among us! (Haha bubbling can be hard until you’re put on the spot!)
We feel a deeper purpose for our individual practice, group rehearsal, and public performances! Our toolbox is full of great barbershop wisdom after this weekend. A big Thank you to our director, Trayce Elenteny, for leading us and hosting our coach for the weekend. The time was invaluable to our growth. #FindYourVoice
